GPZ 7000 It's worth every cent of that $10,700 price tag
I took my new toy out for a quick run over an old patch, place and location withheld first nugget was a 14 grammer at 33" deep, second nugget was a 11 gram specimen (that the gpx5000 missed) at 13" deep, So that first 30" in the triangle is now acessable with the GPZ7000 all found in extra deep-difficult, sensitivity 8, ground balance auto, audio high, volume 15. So all in all, it's an awesome machine, buy it!! don't buy it!!.....but don't complain about the price it's worth every cent!!

Congratulations Spud. First nugget was a 14 grammer at 33" deep, first nugget was a 14 grammer at 33" deep, Now that is pretty impressive. Have you any proof at all that this 14 grammer was found at 33"? A photo of the nugget, or of the hole... anything? Because there will be a lot of people here who will find it hard to believe the GPZ is that good. Cheers, Harry
Ps. And if you don't mind spuds, I'll keep on complaining about the price. There's a good chap.

Sir as you haven't replied yet, I'll ask another question, was the 14 grammer in a buried old timers tobacco tin or similar Q35 . After having done some testing today, I would all but certainly say that unless it was (in a tin), a claim of 33" is absolute rubbish

To put photos up I think you have to have 10 posts up before you can do that. I'm sure the mods will explain it to you real soon. Meanwhile try and put up another 8 posts. Tell us what you have been up to in this gold detecting hobby. Harry

Harry check out the avatar. I have sent you three replies but they never worked haha I am not sure about what's happening there. But enjoy. Harry it wasn't in a metal tin either. I am not sure what people are doing in the goldfields but I have found nugget at great depth with my gpx 5000, but what do I know its only a story right??

From a
Friend of a friend of a friend.. You all know this is a close knit prospecting family, well pretty close.
Not calling you a lier Sirspud and I am not saying you a affiliated with any dealer.
But you have to understand, you have just logged on.
Video's with this gpz7000 are worth a thousand words..
this what the members need to see & I would like to see
Harry.

Jen58 to make this clear I don't work for minelab, I don't own a dealership....I understand that I am new here, but I thought it would be good to share. All the doubt will soon be answered when people you know get the same results and even better. And I am sure bigger nuggets are there for anyone who ends up using the gpz. Yes video will make people sit up and really think about parting ways with $10,700 but I can say it's worth every cent.

I think everyone is on edge with this new machine..
I tell you what I have heard..
It's great at finding the small stuff. Haven't heard of any thumpers pulled at depth..
And until I see it, or hear it from a friend or well respected member.
Or my son and better half, I won't believe it!
Still early days.

Re: GPZ 7000 It's worth every cent of that $10,700 price tag
Had my doubts about this one too?
Professionals don,t usually post and brag online about gold finds?
Newbies rarely get good gold first up?
Johnny come lately types do more posting and bragging than newbies at times?
If its 10 % true the GPZ is an absolute winner?
What i would like to know is how come the newbies got there machines before anyone else as each dealer only got 20 detectors in first shipment?

a half ounze slug at nearly 3 feet would certainly open up the gold fields again.l struggle to hear a horse shoe at that depth with the 4500.

Hi SirSpuds,to be blunt and no offence to you or all the other newbies that have just joined since or just before the launch and are out swinging the gpz with remarkable finds at depth, just show some vid to validate the claims you are making. As to me it is wearing abit thin, ATM a pic of a nugget or hole dosen't cut it for me im affraid. For the long time members that have put up their finds since owning the new machine with their thoughts what it can do above the 5k THANKS, your opinions are valuedSirSpuds wrote:I took my new toy out for a quick run over an old patch, place and location withheld first nugget was a 14 grammer at 33" deep, second nugget was a 11 gram specimen (that the gpx5000 missed) at 13" deep, So that first 30" in the triangle is now acessable with the GPZ7000 all found in extra deep-difficult, sensitivity 8, ground balance auto, audio high, volume 15. extra deep isn't that the setting designed for 10oz plus nuggets at depth and not designed for small nuggets. GEEZ l bet minelabs is peeved spending millions developing the other timings we don't need. Anyone on this forum who knows me will also know what l think about your claims without me having to spell it out.

Re: GPZ 7000 It's worth every cent of that $10,700 price tag
G'day Sirspud,Welcome to the forum.
I know our members can sometimes sound like they're being harsh in judgement, but you must understand after seeing Minelabs initial Video,on the performance of the GPZ 7000 as compared to the GPX 5000/SDC 2300,up at Jupiter Creek SA where a 20oz+ palm size slug of gold was barely audible at 3 feet(36 inches) with the GPZ 7000,you can't blame them for being cynical about you'r 33 inch depth on a slug of gold less than half an ounce
The best depth we've heard so far,was from a 2.5 ounce nugget found at an amazing depth of 30 inches, over average mineralized ground conditions by one of the testers. This 2.5 ouncer was 5 times the weight of what you'v stated yours to be,found at even less depth, than what you'v quoted on a slug of gold one fifth the size, over similar/hotter mineralized ground conditions? You'v just added another 60% more depth,on top of what even Minelab have quoted as being capable off achieving,(up to 40% greater depth that the GPX 5000 with its standard 11 inch mono) over suitable ground. Now can you understand, why we're all sceptical about your results?
Don't miss-understand us though, for who here, wouldn't want to see or be over the moon achieving results like that.
Cheers Kon.
