Post  goldquest Mon Feb 16, 2015 4:40 pm

Hi, I have been reading a lot of informations about the new GPZ7000 but I can't find anything about Iron Reject, there is some sort of adjustment
or discrimination like the other metal detectors?
Cheers

No discrimination on this concept model, you'll have to wait for the Jupiter 2.

3rd try to respond so have made it short and sweet.

Agreed, no discrimination, as the GPZ like the SDC are designed as Gold detectors, not treasure detectors.  Any discrimination could mask a gold target underneath the target that you have discriminated, so the basic rule for gold detecting of dig all targets would miss out on a nice chunk of gold.

That's an easy one to answer gef50. Try the rare & elusive, donkey shoe at 4 foot depth, for the 4500/5000 haven taken care of most mule,draught/horse shoes,at those depths already. Q35

True Kon, but I do have a brace of those rusted horse shoe shaped steel bits that came off the old guys boot
heels, that came from quite deep. Rolling Eyes

The 5000 is a gold detector and have discrimination, I am sure that the next model (GPZ 8000) will have discrimination but we will have to pay an extra $ 5000 for that.

I think you will find that is not correct, It will be hard to get discrimination working well on this new tech and no one,,,,,I repeat, NO ONE knows what the next one will cost,,,,,just stupid rumours! Wink

The good thing about the GPZ 7000 like the CTX 3030 is that all you need to do is download the new software when it becomes available for any bug fixes or enhancements like iron discrimination.

Spot on GemQ.  Updated coil along with software updates as technology advances could be an advantage.

This sounds like the technology that was taken from someone else.
