Re: $10,700.00 confirmed
Us Americans have it worse than you Aussies this time. $9,999 which comes out to $12,582 aud. In some states with taxes that will come out to be about $11,000! Ouch indeed. Only plus side is that will definitely mean fewer of them will hit the field.

Gold Miner,
You may have a good point, but your type of wording is getting close the edge mate, as I said on another thread in General Discussions, this is the type of behaviour that is keeping the ML Testers and other good members from contributing to the forum. We the Management have already put up a Friendly Reminder Of The Rules. So come on Give Everyone a Break will you.

Re: $10,700.00 confirmed
For those that are curios it is through Once finance.
Speaking to Minders Den theirs is 3 months interest free but it seems if you get a Once card you can use that for 6 months interest free for purchases over $250.00.

Financing
Yes we are in discussion with Once as well for financing,
but that interest can get u.
Anyone know any other mobs that do cheaper interest financing.

You could also try Certegy who are through the flexi group, they are in major retailers around the country and have zero finance, the way they make their money is that they have like a 3 or 4 dollar monthly charge.
I just got a credit card from Once with 6 months interest free for purchases over $250.00 so will use that to get a gpz.

Slightly off topic…does anyone know how much the gps unit in the 7000 costs and does anyone know how much it weighs?
Thanks…

Re: $10,700.00 confirmed
G'day Flakmagnet,
As the GPS is built into the control panel it is a hard question to answer. It is a good question though and I would think there would be quite a few members that would be interested to know the answer. Maybe someone out there could answer your question.
Cheers.
Mike.

Re: $10,700.00 confirmed
The 7000 uses a u‑blox Neo 7 GPS Module, very small 12.2x16 mm square.
Weight at a guess would be <10 grams and cost at a guess would be <$20 wholesale
Simular to GPS systems found in Smart phones.
If it was removed from the 7000 you would not notice the difference in weight or price
