Fitting a 2nd air con to my troopy !!
Thinking of fitting a small Cometic under bunk aircon 2200w in the back of my troopy, and having a 3000w gene powering it from the outside.Mounting it won't be much of a hassle useing the orignal bench seat mounting points to anchor the frame for it ,and useing the slidding glass window to exhaust the hot air and drainage pipe ,and getting a canvas maker to make up a ventilation sock that comes in from the outside of the vehicle and goes over the unit so that it can exhaust and drain ,plus sealing the vehicle obviously to keep the cold air in .I've seen several examples of this with troopys ,BUT with roof mounted units instead ,i don't want to remove my roof rack !! Just this morning i saw a Nissan Patrol /Wagon with a roof mounted air con .Problem is i can never seem to be able to converse with the owners ,as the vehicles are parked up ,or in passing me by .Just wondering if theres any body else on this forum that's done this ??
Arrrr, this for camping purposes only !!
