Nuggety hill reef ,Rushworth
I was looking at this area on Geovic, it says it is crown land including nuggety reef, nuggety gully and south nuggety reef. I was in rushworth a while ago and this part of the goldfield has fencing around it, any locals on the forum who know if the fencing is a remnant from the past or it is present day fencing?
Cheers Hugo

Nuggety Hill
Gidday, I have also wondered about this area, and driven/walked around having a bit a look. By the look of it know one really knows. To me it looks like private property. Next time i'm over that way (when its a bit cooleri, and less windy) 'll try and talk to a local. Cheers Neil.

That would be great neil. I read that a mining expert estimated 100,000 ounces was won from nuggety hill. Yeah no replies for a while.

Nugetty Hill
Gidday Hugo, was over that way yesterday and talked to local truck mechanic who lives/ works quite close to nugetty hill. His understanding was that the property is privately owned by a bloke by the surname of Rutherford. Apparently he is worried about the deep shafts there and the risk of personal injury. I guess that means no go. Sorry to find that out for me and you. Did have a good arvo. over there though, found three small bits .9 . 7 .6 Cheers Neil.

I've been using a gp3000 24x12coiltek tryna find a patch.

Nuggety Hill
Gidday Hugo,
Hard stuff to find at any time,i'm using gpx 5000 with a detech 15x8 coil at the moment. There is probably more small gold over there but you never know. You just need to keep trying, be positive with a bit of luck thrown in. cheers Neil.

Yep the Dude that owns the place is Don Rutherford, was quite an approachable bloke when I meet him years back, showed me around the property.
A 30oz piece came off the SW corner of his property with SD 2000, cant remember who the bloke was that found it, but Don gave him permission to detect.

No problems eve001, Old Don is not a bad bloke so it may be worth asking if you can detect on his place
He used to get in the Criterion Hotel quite a bit, but he must be his late 80's now.
Plenty of Forest out that way to detect in.
