Chute north of Beaufort
Hi All,
Just need some further info on Chute just north of Beaufort.
Is the area sedan friendly?
Also any sports to try gold detecting?
Reason iam asking is that iam going there on the weekend for a trip as part of the fossickers club that iam a member of.
they are going to Chute for the weekend.
Also what coil should i use i have a gp3500.
Many thanks.
Cheers,
Tim Eureka

Re: Chute north of Beaufort
Chute is deep lead country. Don't really understand why a club would want to go there unless you intend to go mullock heap hopping?

Re: Chute north of Beaufort
Buck, I got some nice gold from Chute some years ago and only from deep lead mullock heaps. The only shallow ground in the area is either private property(pine plantation) or flora and fauna reserve and you can't detect in there. Can you clarify what area you are talking about?

Re: Chute north of Beaufort
Oh Chute, my cover's been blown
I'm a city slicker from Melbourne's western suburbs buck, but due too much time on my hands I get out and about chasing the yella stuff a fair bit.
I mainly work in the Nth of the triangle, but when the weather gets a bit hot I head Beaufort/Chute way, although I haven't been there for a few years now as I've been picking up my weight in other cooler areas.
Besides, there's not much ground left in your area to detect
