Getting more out of your handheld GPS (garmin mapping)
Hi All, For those of you who have a Garmin handheld mapping GPS.
Do you find that the basemap (mapsource) supplied on the unit is vague or not giving you some information that you want or need?
Do you wish you had topo maps for your unit?
There are maps available but are very expensive (but very good)?
Well it is your lucky day, if you are not already aware or using these, here are some links to FREE map downloads for your handheld GPS.

Also there is a new version available of mapsource, the easiest way to get this is to open Mapsource, under the 'HELP' tab is 'Check for Software updates' it will let you know if there is any available for your version.
I am still only learning about all of this, but if I can help I will.
Cheers
