Big Oakey Creek in Sofala Crown Land?

Hey everyone,

Been doing some homework on where to swing the detector next and looking at Sofala and Hill End. Pretty new to this however been to HE camping a few days first time I went detecting and passed through Sofala briefly on the way back. From what I've read here Sofala has a lot of private land... looking at the http://nswtitles.minerals.nsw.gov.au/nswtitles/ website it says there is a fair amount of land along the Big Oakey Creek area that is Crown Land?? I can see private property along the Upper Turon road, is there any way to get access to the Crown land from this road at all?

Also looking at trying out Golden Gully at Tambaroora north of HE, any advice? Ony have 2WD car...
