Re: SDC 2300 ACTUAL FINDS
Mate I didn't know that they had invented the SD"c"2100 with a fixed 8" coil way back then. you musta got the only one
Seriously mate that is a mighty fine effort, just goes to show it's not just the machine that does the job, the one swinging it has a fair bit to do with it also.
cheers dave

Dave
I gave it a 3 out of 10 last time out but now I have now set up the same booster amp I used back then on the 2100 and now it has a super Audio sound on the target now and should suck those sounds that you would not of heard before so I will give it a 5 out 10 before I hit the field and lets see how it goes

Re: SDC 2300 ACTUAL FINDS
Here are the results of 4 days of hunting with the SDC 2300 in the goldfields of California, 79 nuggets, 15 grams. Mostly very small nuggets, but when you get on a patch of little stuff, the weight does add up. The SDC really bangs hard, even on these little bits. I would dig a 3-4 inch hole and be surprised to get this tiny little nugget in my scoop.

Re: SDC 2300 ACTUAL FINDS
Bringing up a very old thread amost 2 yers on...
Having a look through this thread and a few older SDC threads, it's interesting to see that quite a few users (and also many people who aren't even on the forums) who weren't impressed (understatement) with the SDC - some very vocal about it - when it was released, are now fans.
Anyway, with the talk of ridiculously small nuggets being found with the SDC, I posted a couple of pics of a tiny "nugget" back in the day, which I found with the SDC not long after it was released.
It is about the size of the eye of the Echidna on the Aussie 5c coin. The SDC actually picked it up in rich red clay on and old surfaced area.
Detrackozi, you wrote that you were finding nuggets back in the day with your SD 2100 which were as small as small as what people were finding with the SDC upon its release...sorry, but I don't think so:
Anyone found anything smaller since?

OK, let me clarify:
I have no doubt that a lot of what he and you and others have found with the SD 2100 WAS as small as a lot of stuff in this thread, but I don't think that that claim can include the one I found. See the photo - I'll post it again:
