Detecting boots

Can anyone tell me where I can get a pair of detecting boots ? as I used to where runners,but they have gone passed their use by date.
I recently bought a pair of boots ,but found they still had metal in em.
im tired of getting false signals wearing these  
Any one know what brand to buy,or will I take my detecter in the shoe shop to find a pair

Elastic sided Redbacks seem to be a fairly good boot and widely used detecting, sorry don't know the model name or number, recently went to Kathmandu store during a sale, bought a champion set of hiking type boots, real good fit, synthetic, lace up ankle high, good sole , good support, sales chic assured me no metal what so ever  , $289.00 reduced to $99.00.......SOLD!!!,    I knew I should have taken my pinpointer with me, screams like a horseshoe every time I step forward into coil field   , never mind, they will make good hunting boots anyway   , so I have gone back to the redbacks that I thought were a size too small for me originally but with some recent wear are becoming very comfortable.

I like brown elastic sided bata bushmate boots. They are great on slimy wet rocks and damp log, metal free, comfortable and last 3-6 months continual use. And, reasonably water resistant. They are cheap as chips at around $50 a pair. Bunnings, Workwear Discounts, etc. The black bata slip on boots have different rubber and are not as good on wet surfaces as the brown boots. 

Bata industrials have also just released a mining industry specific metal free safety boot. They were displayed at the QLD mine Expo a couple of weeks ago.

Bata are the largest maker of work boots in the world. And many are made here in Australia.
Ive not tried redbacks but have seen them recommended many times.

Snow boots.
- warm
- waterproof
- no metal
- good gripping sole
- cheap

Redback UBOK Non Safety Work Boots

I love em, mine are 5 1/2 years old and are still going strong & I treat em like sh*t, most of my small gold the Redbacks dig.

Reebok puts out a good boot stock#RB8896. Check it out on reebokwork.com Size runs a little big so I just put a gel insole on top of the original and now they fit like a glove. Les, IDAfinder

Tried the Aldi workbooks that are on sale this week. Although they appear to have no metal in them they were as comfortable and as well fitting as a gumboot. Perhaps if you don't have skinny large feet they would be ok. Cheap for a reason and there were heaps left in the store I went to. Other safety boots I've bought from Aldi in the past have been great.

I've bought a pair of Steel Blue boots named "Response". Good ankle support, lace ups with quick release zips, safety toe cap made of composite material that will not worry your detector or airport metal scanners. A little exxy but good quality, very comfortable & made in Oz.
Highly recommended.

Bunnings sells Rossi work boots, mine have been good, lasted 5 years so far no signs of wear

I just got the slip on work boots, no laces, good fit, $90.

I remember years ago when I used to be in the RAAF and using detectors looking for unexploded ordnance. Our normal work boots and GP's kept interfering  with the instruments so we had to go out and local purchase Doc Martin boots. No more problems but the boots did not last because of the terrain and weight of the wearers. Just find some comfortable hiking boots that have no metal in them at all.

I'm sure there are many boots in the market place that would suit your needs.
I prefer Redbacks and like IveGotBigNuggets I scrape every target with my boots before getting down to the serious stuff.
They last well and are still made in Australia. (last time I checked)
