Hi folks, I have been lurking here for a while now so here's all the useful information that people may want to know.
I bought my first detector and have had it for about 18 months which is an x-terra 705 with 3 coils. I have found this in all honesty a great way to pay for trips in coin finds but dead set a waste of time on the gold fields for the gold side of things, but interesting with relics i have picked up.
I decided to get a minelab sd2100 as my first PI and found so many buttons and other things deeper than i was used to. The machine came with a lead acid 6 volt battery so i decided to regulate a 12v lithium battery which is 12 ah and lasts longer whilst running smoother threshold. I have also now used a GPX5000 and to my excitement found my first detected gold!
So here's the plan for the near future:
1. Sell sd2100 and fund a sdc2300 as I commute to gold fields on an adventure motorcycle.
2. Travel to goldfields around OZ on my trusty bike.
3. Buy a 4x4 as i get older and get sick of falling off the moto and getting cold in winter.
To wrap things up
I live in Dubbo, detect all around the central west and I'm in the Orana detecting club.
G'day and some pictures to follow in the members finds section soon.
