Hi Michael
Welcome to the Forum.
Bought our Minelab ETrac second hand for $1000Aus a couple of years ago.
Modern informative display with good discrimination . Works straight out of the box.
Best find so far XK120 Jaguar [been in the ground so long it shrunk to Dinky size]
Check out the ETrac Forum.
Caution. Have no experience with other detectors.
Cheers
Alwyn

Hi thought I posted a note the other day,but found it in my spam!! thanks for the replies. The soil here varies a lot ,generally trashy with limestone areas to sand. Every nation around the Med. has had a go here,so artifact hunting is probably the go. Homework is just confusing me. Probably need a5000 however the price is high for a beginner!!! Also I probably need a simple to operate unit. Michael
