Carrying your lithium ion battery on a plane
Been looking into this one and have come up with a few conflicting answers. So I've checked with my airline which is Emirates and while it doesn't specifically mention detectors you CAN pack consumer electronic devices with Li-ion batteries in the hold baggage. Spare or loose batteries must be in your hand luggage (up to two of).
Hope this is of help to others but I would check with your own airline to be absolutely certain
Cheers Dan
