Idaho Al (USA) A little about myself. Male, 72 yoa, hobbies: Shooting and loading my own custom ammo, Archery, Roaming the back country on my ATV or in my Jeep but most of all finding GOLD. I use several metal detectors, Minelab 4500 and X-terra 705, Garrett AT Gold, Fisher Gold Bug 2 and a Bounty Hunter for the grandchildren. I use a Proline Highbanker/dredge combo 2 1/2", several sluce boxes and small self contained highbankers and a couple of spiral wheels for seperating black sands from fine gold. I live in gold country but I still have a full time job so do not get out Prospecting as much as I like..I just found thid Forum by following a link from another forum. My dream is a detecting trip to find some Australian Gold.......

You have a few detectors to do the job and i like your 4500.
Would be interesting to see some photos and a story of your gold hunting.
We had a few extremely hot days so not much detecting in a last week.
Hope you enjoy the forum and if you are planing to do a trip here ask as many questions and DO NOT come unprepared.
Lot of knowledgeable people here so i am sure you will get all your answers.
