16" settings for GPX5000
Hi all,
I generally detect using the standard 11" coil. I'd like to now go over a patch with my 16" coil.
I'm looking for some recommended settings for this coil to start out with. Once I'm familiar with these settings, I'm happy to experiment to maximise penetration.
Any suggestions/recommendations gratefully accepted :-)
thanks in advance
Terry

Hi Bicter,
I think you will get more better/correct/setting response if you tell what kind of ground is it.

Thanks Golden,
generally the ground is quite mineralised, a mixture of ironstone, schist and quartz. It's quite noisy particularly in areas with high charcoal content.
The area in question is out the back of Warwick in Qld if that helps :-)

Re: 16" settings for GPX5000
Running deep audio' ground is about 2" topsoil then into broken schist mixed with clay then about 6" down hit another layer of clay, to date really haven't found much deeper than 12 -16"

oky doky
What size is the patch and dose it grade into deeper ground.
Then you will get a PM with my suggested settings and a patch search technique.
