Hi,

Looking to purchase my own detector with a small budget. Found one that may be suitable, but don't know the going price for these. Are these a good detector for finding gold?

Thanks

Jenny

You can usually pick them up anywhere between about $1200-1800 depending on condition & what gear comes with them.
Mine was/is in great condition, had 3 x coils, 2 x 6v batteries + 240v & car charger, harness, backpack, carry bag, headphones, sound booster, pick + lots of other little bits & pieces. I got it for $1500 which I thought was a pretty good price especially considering the extras.

Hi Jenny,
DO NOT BUY a modified Minelab detector.....Minelab will not repair it !
The 2200 is a great machine used in conjunction with a 7.3 volt battery system.
You should get 2 coils.......11" mono and 11" DD
I suggest you talk with the boys at Coiltek in Maryborough or visit a detector club.

Be lucky.

I disagree if one comes up at the right price why not? your right minelab wont touch it, but "Mechanic" here has the know how to service it, he got mine humming perfectly.
It is your choice, make an informed one.
