my new detector!
hi all,
well bit the bullet and got a GP extreme today
all the bits to go with it and im gonna go and play tomorrow around Talbot for a while!
any tricks or quirks with this type of Detector?

Tricks?....Many! ...as you will soon see.. , I suggest you trawl through some of the archive stuff here as I am sure there would be some info on the the good old GP, time patience and practice will be your best friends.

Thanks Wayne, i have plenty of both and i understand these are "an oldie but a goodie"....a bit like me really!...ROFL
ill have to do the archive thing but im going out with the coiltek guys tomorrow morning to find out how to do the prospecting and set up thingo

Good luck out there mate, sounds like your in good hands already, much good gold has been found with the GP, some still swear by them, keep us posted on your experience,....... a picture paints a thousand words .

well,
a progress report!
have spent a total of 6 hours for:
1 shottie pellet;
1 22 slug
1 musket ball
1 washer
2 nails!
having a ball and enjoying the bush with the wife.
