Talbot Camping
I think I read somewhere on the forum about camping at the Talbot (Vic) Rec Reserve/Sports Oval. I've tried the Search function with no luck. Does anyone have any information on this. Thanks in advance.

Re: Talbot Camping
I can't help you with any hard info, but there are always caravans staying at the footy oval, so I don't see why you couldn't camp.
Why not give the pub a call on (03) 5463 2204

Re: Talbot Camping
Thanks guys. Heading up that way in a week or so, depending on weather. I'll give it a try.

Talbot Football club
I stayed there earlir this year. $10/night plus metered power. The caretaker is an old guy by the name of Rhynie. Facilities are basic, clubroom open for Bingo and drinks Friday night or when the players or games on. I found it noisy, Rhynie operates a cardboard crusher near where I stayed, starts at 0730 5-6 days a week and uses a huge diesel 3 phase genny and forklift. Football on the oval every 2 weeks, practice under lights 2-3 nights a week, nippers and cubs etc on the weekend.
I moved off after a week and went bush for a couple of weeks then moved to the Inglewood caravan park, $100/week and metered power, but had onsuite toilet and shower. Good for the price.
