far west gold detecting
hi there, we are going on a 4wd camping trip from griffith to broken hill in october for about 5 days, via ivanhoe-menindee, returning via menindee-pooncarie. probably stay at silverton for a couple of days. have been there before on the bikes to the ghost town rally but this time taking the wifes to show them around. i believe there is a tourist gold mine between broken hill and silverton but as i am taking the detector are there any areas of interest where i could detector for a few hours on the trip. have googled but nothing much came up. also looked through this forum but couldnt find anything.
any tips on localities or areas to research would be much appreciated.
cheers blackbird.

Re: far west gold detecting
I grew up out that way
Not sure weather your looking for coins
Lots of spots for that !
Any burnt down or closed down pup is a good start
If your after gold you'll have to venture out towards tipaburra
