hi all, wet and miserable here today, my wife pulled out a poem she sent me not long after we were married.

It has only been but 4 montrhs
since you and i were wed,
and now you have a mistress
but its one youll never bed.

Youve followed her to clermont
because you know shes always there,
she plays it coy, shes like that
cause she knows you hold her dear.

You can spend your money on her,
but that doesnt mean a thing,
you often get little in return,
not always happiness does she bring.

you long for her in daylight,
and dream of her each night,
she occupies your every thought,
because shes such a lovely sight.

she makes you search both here and there
a game of hide and seek.
you like the thrill of finding her,
and then shes yours to keep..

you love to hold her in your hands
you behold her with such pride
she brings you joy and happiness
and this you cannot hide.

you dont care what the scales say,
she weights more than you thought she did,
the more of her the better,
shes worth more to you than quids.

i will share you with this mistress
as i am not a jealous wife
but this one is the only one,
or you will be in such strife.
