Prospecting The Murchison: New 2013 Edition
Due to popular demand the book, Prospecting the Murchison, has been reprinted in a all new edition, which incorporates a number of changes and improvements.
The following areas are covered in the book:
• Choosing the right detector
• Detecting techniques
• Prospecting rules and regulations for WA
• Using Tengraph
• How to apply for a Section 40E Permit
• A short history of the goldfields
• 25 of the best nugget producing localities around Cue, Meekatharra and Wiluna
• How to accurately estimate the gold content in nuggets and specimens
Although there is an emphasis on prospecting localities around the Murchison goldfields, the book will benefit any newcomer to the hobby providing valuable information on two of the three key elements to successful gold hunting: technique, locality and detector settings.
The new version is available directly from the publisher online at http://www.prospectingthemurchison.com. The book is also available from most good prospecting stores, as well from Boffins in Perth and The Chart Shop in Fremantle, but the new version hasn't yet reached the stores. Cost is $59.95
