Something so relaxing, so soothing, so comforting about looking at a slug that big. Go on ya guys, now I'll have drool dripping from the sides of my mouth all day.

Great stuff Pete. Fun times or what!
Now about those deep settings? ( If they aren't a state secret that is.)
Hmmm?

Re: Amigos 5 ouncer night detecting
I will post the information that Manny kindly shared with us in general discussion

I suspect you and Dave are on the right track rarebreed, but if you want the max depth try Sharp timing with high Gain and the Audio set to boost.
Just be prepared for a lot of ground noise and sore ears by days end.
I used the settings on a patch we found in deep ground. Don't even bother trying to quieten down the machine, you won't. The target will be heard well above the background noise. We were on quiet (non mineralized ) ground.
ps I can use these settings for half hour max before they drive you mad. cheers Pete.

Stoppsy, as you know,it's always hard to be exact on depth, but we were lying on our guts and digging right down so I would go 500mm minimum. cheers Pete.

Re: Amigos 5 ouncer night detecting
Excellent find Pete, glad to see those settings worked for you , hopefully you can ping a few more deep ones now that you know. Might give those settings a bit of a go if I get into some nice deep Gold bearing ground when I'm out West in a few weeks
