Hey guy´s,

I keep seeing in your videos that you used such a great pick.
anyone of you knows a dealer who sent it to Germany?

If your handy with a welder you could try making your own from a plough disc. some have used truck springs.get as thick a wall as you can (plough disc).you would probably use a 9" grinder or a plasma cutter to cut it,oxy would probably burn the steel and lose its tempering.few fellas on here have made their own.then hard face the ends..bloke round here has tungsten dust running through a mig welder for building up plough gear and apparently it's tougher than the originals.or hard face arc sticks.just a thought if its too big a drama importing one and you would get a few picks from the one disc

Strolch,
The easiest way to cut a plow disc is to use a thin 100mm metal cutting disc in a grinder.

I did find a small leaf spring, about 50 mm. wide and used that. Cut with angle grinder, weld pipe handle in the middle, sharpen flat end.

Quick note, If you make your own pick, sharpen from the bottom of pick, not the top of pick blade as we have seen some people do. The pick will cut unto ground and dig much easier.

It is always good to sharpen your shovel, once in a while.
