Out & About
Out & About x 3
It is that time of year again where as I will be popping in and out of the site. I will share some moments of our last trip with you. We were on very good gold but as with all gold you must work for it. I do hope you enjoy the photos.
Cheers
James 101.
Some black sand
Clay cutting. There has been a lot of talk about how to work clay, this photo shows just how the Banjo/Highbanker cut’s through the clay we were working.
My dig area a work in progress. This series of photos will show just how much material can be put through one on these little units.
Some of the men in action and the gold they were retrieving at that point in time. Cleanup’s were running from 5 gram, 3 gram to 2 gram days.
Before any type of serious digging was done we had to find where the cutter was running. The below photo shows just how we do that.

Re: Out & About
Some Really good pictures there James (1 picture really is worth 1000 words) looks like a great spot to setup camp
Did you dig that channel to allow water in to the pit to make it easier to dig or was there some other reason ?

Re: Out & About
Mate it was more of a case of letting the water out. That was also the gutter line which was also dug .

Re: Out & About
Hi S/D yes the water was a big concern it was flowing through the sand and it made life very hard indeed. The work face had to be benched this was done to stop the sand sliding down into the dig area which was another ½ meter under the water line. The best gold was in the clay. Jack mate we worked on our own what we found as an individual we keep. The gold was running per man at 5 gram 3 gram 2 gran or there about at days end.

The best gold was in the clay. This is how the Banjo jetting system works on clay.
Had a mate spend a night with us.
I wanted to post these photos with the above post but there was a bit of trouble with my photo bucket account it is all sorted now. cheers
