MAX RECOVERS 11 OUNCES
IN ONE WASHING Adelaide, Monday a rich gold find is reported from Tweedvale. 21 miles from Adelaide. One man has recovered 11 ounces in one dish and others report gaining as much as eight ounces in one washing. The shaft is 15 ft deep, and indications of a good vein are visible. The Government mines inspector has been sent to investigate.

It set me to work doing some more studying on SA ... and I've become rather re-interested in my own state! Much of the area of 'Tweedvale' is only an hour or so from where I live! WooHoo!! The only problem is that SA is rather 'old fashioned' in it's attitudes to fellow SA people seeking gold ... but occassionally you run across someone who has some imagination, and is prepared to let you 'fossick' on their land and in their creek beds etc.
Anyway, it's fun doing the study and 'honing the skills' ... thankyou!!
