vic gold fields n using gpx-4500 with monos nf n c/tek
i have noticed lately that coiltek monos16 " etc have not as much depth as a 14" x9" nuggett finder coil...
not to sure why... we done some test today in the vic field with a 3grm peice n were dissapointed by the coiltek coil not
been able to pic up hardly in all modes n timings yet with the n/f coil no probs at all depths.. any one else seen this i
have to say i allways used coiltek coils in vic n have been good but i might now have to go the n/f as its seems to be
in a class of its own?

Could be a faulty coil or lead, check your leads are firm. I often use a electronic cleaner spray. The 16" should easily outperorm the 14x9 on a 3 gram bit at depth. Coitek make good coils, I have an old 17x11 mini UFO - brilliant coil

Hi John
If your using a 16" then the target will be oz plus.Bury a much larger target for a depth comparison between the 2.Finding a 3g with a 16" at depth can be done of course with a GPX and a bit of careful detecting.
