Nuggets from the family patch.
My dad, mum and bro found a nice patch in the Pilbara in the mid 1990's. Lots of smaller gold under a couple ounces in size came from the patch. Jim found a 33 ounce piece and my brother found a 42 oz slug nearby.(image of both nuggets on 18 inch coil below).
A few years later the family was detecting in WA when dad suddenly found he could not read maps (the letters making up place names on the map all appeared jumbled to him). It was the first signs of the brain cancer that got him a year later. Anyway a couple years ago i revisited the family patch and found a 46 oz piece and then more last year. The patch is still giving.
I thank my dad and mum for taking me in the bush to fossick and camp when i was young because i have grown to love it and i have done the same for my kids.
cheers Tributer

Beautiful finds! What a legacy from your parents. We don't all have the opportunity to share the fun times with our families. Glad to hear you did and you are continuing that legacy with your children.

Hey Tributer,
Very nice gold from the family patch and I guess you could say it's absolutely great to see the Family involved in gold detecting and prospecting. Without the Family it would have been a different story.
Thanks for sharing mate.
Cheers,
Uncle Bob.
