Im writing this post to show anyone interested in my detector setup, Costasdee wasnt sure what i ment when i said i had a power booster attached to it, so i thought id make a post in the right section and add some photo's to clear any questions.

As you can see i got sick of the velcro coming off the bag, so ive mounted everything on alloy brackets.

Hi again JeffH,
Glad you posted the photos as I had never seen the DETacc Regulator before and didn't know it existed. Seems like a very tidy setup you have there. Can you tell me though, what battery source are you using as to get to 7.1v, you have to be using more than the standard 6v SLA battery.

Never mind JeffH, I did a google search and saw that it was a "Step-Up' regulator, that steps up a 6v to 7.1-7.2v with 90% efficiency. I'm really impressed. Although I had heard mention of them, I had never seen one before. Many thanks for posting and teaching me something new.

Apparently what ive worked out that the regulators arent very common, it seems to work ok.
