Obtaining a fossicking licence in Qld

Hi Qlders, Just starting out on this adventure and need to know where I get my fossickers licence from. A phone number or address would be useful. Thanks. BTW I'm living in SE Qld - are there any worthwhile clubs etc. around these parts?

Most Detector/Prospecting outlets would have forms to give you a 'permit'.
However your local mines dept willl give you invaluable info.
