Are people still pulling gold out of this area? Im new to detecting and keen to head out there for a scratch.. although i only have an x-terra 70 Gold, i dont expect to find anything

most of mount crawford is very highly mineralised, so not ideal for the x-terra 70. I'd stick to Chapel hill. Much less mineralised and still good potential near the power line. The 6" DD is best, as a lot of the gold is tiny
