Manticore. What does it do best??

Is anybody using the Manticore? Is it better than the EQ 800/900?
What does it do best, Gold field or jewellery hunting??

I guess not many people here using the Manticore?
    With all of the detectors that I have used for beach metal detecting; Why do I keep being drawn back to the Sov XS and the 15 inch WOT coil?

I have some great Pi machines and excellent multi frequency VLfs that are modern, light weight and easy to use but still I find myself using the Sov.

My grandson has one he is happy with it  and it is more than loaded with features. I gave him a Whites Eagle Spectrum 1992 model that his younger brother uses. As good as the whites features go the Manticore out classes it.

After reading the comments at that site https://www.detectorprospector.com/forum/63-minelab-manticore-forum/ I doubt that I would gain much from the Manticore. It is clearly a great machine but so are some of my oldies.
