Sad day with the passing of Michael Hayes - Boobook

It is a sad day to post the passing of Michael Hayes (Boobook)
Michael went down hill rapidly after their return from a road trip in September, he passed on the 04/11/2021 from bone cancer resulting from undiagnosed prostrate cancer.
Earlier this year Michael & Chris ventured up to Cooktown taking in the scenery and posting many photos along the way.
Michael spent many years opal mining in Queensland then decided in 2012 to venture into gold prospecting.
We met Michael and Chris (his loving wife) back in 2012 at a gold prospecting meet in WA. We formed a strong friendship and spent several trips together through the years.

That is very very sad news, our sincere condolences to Chris his wife and the rest of his family and friend.

Michael (Boobook) was a great bloke with many stories about the things he has done, and was always great chatting while sitting around the campfire, he will be missed.
