Hi All,
I just joined up after discovering this forum today via the NAPFA web site.
My wife and I enjoy fossicking, mainly for opal, but I want to branch out and chase gold too.
I have an Equinox 800, which I haven't really used very much yet.
Last year we went out to Tibooburra and stayed on Mt Stuart for 5 nights, the camping was excellent but i didn't find any gold. I did learn a lot from others out there though.
We are going back in late April for another go. When I retire (soon) I plan to spend a bit of time on old goldfields.
Cheers,
Rob

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
Suggest you get a 6" coil for the Nox and a 2300 for the wife and you/she will definitely find gold, if you put the time in.
And of course Low and Slow.

Thanks for the comment, a 2300 would be nice.
I forgot to mention - I bought a 6" coil on advice from people I met in the field.
Cheers.

Welcome to the forum I started out as a treasure hunter when I was five then went on to be a gold prospector when I was twelve then got into gemstones about 15 years ago
You might also think about prospecting rivers and creeks other than old tailing piles that's where I found my most gold
