total tiddlers

This was my weekends haul,pretty chuffed.Not as exciting as others though.
But it got me thinking of the bigger picture.
3gms every week[multiply by 52 weeks]=156 gms,multiply this by current gold price of $55 per gram and strewth that's over $8000.

I just spent a week in GT and dug 150-200 targets (yep - got a new z) and not one goldie.

Hi Detectist, I tend to live in LA LA land at times,
but I'm a bit of a glass half full person and likes to think positive.
I like you have spent many a trip and come home with a pocket full of grey gold:lol:
It's hard to keep the enthusiasm going at times.It's all about being doggedly persistent.

Well done to ya moredeep. No tiddler found can be a bad thing. All/any gold found, can only be a good thing. Its only but luck, that plays a role towards quantity/size found. You talk of la la land?  Is there a prospector here who hasn't gone on more than one journey/days detecting finding squat, zilch? It's that positive belief & in the hope that we find something for our efforts, that gets us out there searching. Lose that feeling & it be better to quit the game all together. There is no magic in the discovery of gold, just the persistence of people doing their research & putting in the ground time.

Yep spot on Kon,you need that drive/spark every time you venture out.
I guess also that I'm a little more blessed than some and not constrained by full time employment any more.It makes a hell of a difference when you are not forced/pressured to find the gold.
Meaning;it's the pressure you put on yourself. Also location plays a important role,I can drive 5 minutes and be in the bush,I do have empathy for my fellow prospectors living in the big smoke.
A mate of mine is up at 4 am just to get out of melbourne and into the country side by 7.30 am ,sometimes he feels the pressure to make the trip successful/ to keep his enthusiasm going,luckily his attitude is good and enjoys the day out ,gold or no gold
