Gold found on the piddle patch.

Stopped for a piddle and while terrorising ants with a flash flood I spotted this bugger sitting on the ground winking at me, didn't even swing the detector over it.
Numerous S.G. tests says it contains 25.55gr of the good stuff. Total weight is 36.22gr.

Normally just smash them but this one was just too Pretty to smash. This photo does not do it justice, will try and get some more asap. Gold visible right through on all sides. Only quartz and gold, no iron stone visible.
Pictures are raw, straight off the ground as found, no cleaning or treatment at all.

Reminds me of a yarn I was told about the local cop of a town close to an area I detect. He was out goat shooting, had a pee & uncovered 3 ounces. True story. My mate who told is good friends with the cop. So he took me to the area & we detected for a few hours & found zilch. It was pretty rugged terrain, hence the goats I guess, but the old timers had done a pretty good job on the area & the cop just peed in the right crevice. So it does happen, but not to me.....yet.

Thanks folks and no I didn't piddle on it, just spotted it about 5 feet away from where I was standing

dug that 5 gr piece in the picture a few feet away though most likely not related to the specimen. Also a few other pieces not picture.
Going back in a day or so and if it turns into something I'll name it the piddle patch. Has a ring to it

The photos don't do it justice, it looks way better in the flesh.
It's one of the very few specimens I didn't want to smash and I'm glad it's going to a good home. If I'd have kept it I would have no doubt smashed it.

Went and pulled a bunch of bits of the spot today and it's looking good.   I'd be still there now but for the rain.

Even Kalgoorlie has turned almost into a lake/ river in places

I look at the postive, new ground to detect on ... when we get back over
