Hey, I'm from Ballarat, hired a SDC2300 from a local Ballarat store for the weekend to see whats it all about, tried a few locations/diggings in Victoria
Slatey Creek area(Creswick)
Nerrina
White Swan (the worst) very trashy
Smythesdale way


and found a lot of metal, railway pins, bullet shells, bullets, shotgun pellets, rusted steel, can tops, Buttons, old rusted tins maybe from the mining?
But no gold. Tried various settings, alot were at different depths.

Although the maps suggest diggings in that area, how far do you guys go from that area to search?

With the sdc2300 i would just go onto the old diggins/surfacing's
