first post

Hello all, this is my first post. I have been detecting for about 4 years now and must say fellow detectorists that I have bumped into in the field are a helpful, friendly lot. I use a GPX 4500 which I think is a great machine and i swing it at every opportunity I get. Took a while to find my feet but the rewards for all the hard work (fun!) are happening!. I enjoy taking friends or family out for a look and the delight on their faces if we are fortunate enough to find a bit regardless of how small it is. What a lucky country we live in and what a way to see it, swinging a coil!!
