For a man that gave me my first ever Gold nugget.V08  You sure know how to worry a guy T31

Considering another supplier I know here was broken into only a few days back and many V36  worth of detectors where stolen. thankfully no 7000's had arrived at that time.

I'm feeling like a kid waiting for Xmas morning I can't wait V06

"The GPZ 7000 will be available for sale from Friday 20th February. For more information on this revolutionary new machine please contact your Local Authorised Miinelab Dealer. "

Now hope the dealers have got them in stock. Very Happy

I'm not sure if this is what happened but I was told they would be shipping to dealers in the US on Monday and available for sale by Friday the 20th because it takes 4 days to ship to some parts. Problem was that Monday was a holiday here and nothing could get shipped, meaning that some dealers wouldn't receive them until Monday the 23rd. If that's true perhaps Minelab delayed everything till Monday so as not to give some dealers an advantage and have a global release all on the same day. I'm not sure that's the case but it seams to fit the scenario.

I'm waiting till Monday too. Guess I'll just be reading the manual all weekend. At least I'll know how to turn it on

I have just gotten home from a morning run to a patch that has been flogged to death with 4500 and 5000 with every coil made and in every timing. the highlight was a specie about 30mm in diameter with 3 grams after dollying at 20" measured. I am going to need a bigger pick. too excited to worry about settings, just paired the wireless module and ground balanced in factory preset and go. Very Happy

So how come that you got the jump on the others who have been hanging out for Monday as the official release date?

Mate when I got the email from Minelab this morning, rang the shop and yes they have them and can get ours no worries, so what do you reckon we did. Yep went and picked it up.

It's getting a full charge right now and will be giving it a good go tomorrow on some local gold fields. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Well it's all fully charged now and ready to go, couldn't help myself just had to go outside back yard in town and turn it on, it ran with very little interference, not like the 4500 or 5000 which I had to have a DD coil in cancel mode in the back yard to stop the electrical interference.

If this is an indication of the rest of the machines ability it's gonna be awesome.

Now its time to read the manual some more. Laughing

cheers dave

Thanks. Looks like some dealers either don't have them in yet, or they are playing the release date by the book.  Whatever, I am sure that another couple of days waiting won't hurt them.
