Hi guys,
I took the family to Ballarat over easter and did a bit of panning at Sovreign hill. The kids had a ball and the misses too. We happened to pull a few flakes too. Just looking for some info on places around central vic to try.
Any info would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers goldenbrown...

You have to find one that has some water in it first otherwise take you own. Any creek near diggings would have gold in it, so just have a look at a map.

Great, thanks Jefgold,
I'll probably have to find one with water in it near some old diggings and let the kids run a muck. It's good to get the family involved,

hi Goldenbrown
i pan at Blackwood a bit and allways get nice flakes and a couple of pickers .
on friday a m8 spotted a 0.2g bit as we were specking b4 we got our boots wet . we allways walk around the path and check it for bits washed down by the rain , most times there is at least 1 bit if you have good eyes and not in a hurry .
be wary of the bogholes in the tracks , some are very deep and need aggressive tyres , and a bit of clearance wouldn't go astray .
if you have a sluice , take it as there is good flow in the creeks ATM .
cheers and good luck .
Chuck waa .

Thanks Chuck waa, appreciate the info mate.
I've got a couple of mates with banjos and I think now is a great time to get out to the creeks and see what the rains have brought. If your specking and finding a few pickers, you're in a good spot. Keep going! I'll definately put Blackwood on my list for me and the family......
Thanks again, golenbrown....
