safety beach?? portsea
This morning i an heading down to safety beach for a 1yr old b'day
and if the wife thinks i am going to sit through 5 hours of screaming kids she has another thing coming
so i am down that way from about lunchtime
party starts at 11am so i will stick around for an hour or so then off to the beach
but where to start??
if anyone is down that way and wants to say HI, let me know i would gladly have the company.
i should be there for about 2-3 hrs then back to the screaming kids

Re: safety beach?? portsea
It'll be interesting to hear how you went with the "getting away to go detecting" thing. If your missus is anything like my missus, she'll have other plans for you, that makes any plans to go detecting "argument" material. And then there's the old guilt line of, "well is going detecting is far more important to you than being with your 1yo child, well you just go off and be on your own, maybe we should separate and then you'll have plenty of time to go detecting then"...I think I'll shut-up now,I'm upsetting myself. I better get back to the washing machine, I think it's finished it's cycle.

It'll just be interesting to see if he actually does get to go detecting.
We went to Dalesford once for a long weekend with another 2 couples and kids. I packed the car, loaded the detector with the intention of taking the kids out detecting with me after everything was settled. Well one husband had to work on that weekend and the other couple had just split the day before, so there was just me and 3 "wives" and 5 kids. By the time I had unpacked the car(s), lit the fire, bbqed the chops, etc etc etc... there was bugger all time to go detecting. In fact for the whole looooooong weekend, I managed to go out for 1.5 hours TOTAL/ALL UP, with my son and even then I got a call at the hour mark asking when I'd be back to bbq the sausages as the kids were hungry.
We can make wonderful plans Ark, have the whole thing planned, allocating time for everything and everyone and still have left a little time for ourselves, but that all means squat if somehow it's not the same as their plans.
Got to go now, dishwasher just finished it's cycle and ready to be emptied....

Re: safety beach?? portsea
Safety Beach? Portsea? Portsea back beach, london bridge area, apart from sinkers hooks lures and swivels, I'd imagine some good scores.
the tides in that area catch people unaware all the time!
Um and spark plugs!

XIV, whipped is a gross understatement and she's right (and that's why I was cheesed off) between the 3 of them, you'd think they could cook some damn sausages. Now you know why one husband had to work over the weekend and the other husband had to separate to get away. Yes I'm whipped, & I lower my head in shame
I have to go now, the kids need a bath and then they need to be fed...
