hello all, detectors, I'm totally new to this, I've just returned from Afghanistan and I'm looking for a hobby, I'm willing to tag along with anyone to learn,I did have a detector, i bought before i left but was stolen while i was overseas. ( 
bugger it wasn't even out of the box ) my location is Tenambit NSW

Welcome to the forum.
Plenty posts to read and learn.
Hopefully some members from NSW can take you out.
Might be a digger for a day.
If you come in Victoria plenty guys here to take you for a day out.

I'm sure there will be plenty of members who will be more than happy to have you tag along ... and with many of the members, that is probably a brilliant way to start your hobby! You will learn HEAPS!!!! I'm from bad ol' SA, so I travel to VIC every couple of months, and it is 'old hands' who have helped to get me started too!
