Hi Guy New to all this.
I'm thinking of purchasing a gold detector, i have about $2500 to spend what type would you suggest for a beginner?
I'm just looking for gold not coins

GP3000 possibly a GP3500 for that price..

Some ebay stuff - Just make sure its a reputable ebayer you are dealing with before purchasing - pickup is the least risky option if possible Wink

Hi waynej.

Go for a dedicated minelab gold detector. Research second hand prices on the net. Then when you understand the average prices for each used model advertise for the best model you can afford on this forum or others. Most times you'll get to speak direct to the seller.
