accomodation
Gday davsgold, Is there places to detect close to windeyer or how far do you need to travel.Im thinking of going to hillend but not sure what the campsite is like. My van is set up for free camping however it would be good to have power. This will be my first detecting trip so want the wife to be reasonably comfy and not have to travel too far to have a swing. Any suggestions.
Thanks

Re: wwwwwwwwwwwww
Hi ScottG, if you want to camp at Hill End there are a couple of National Park campsites which I have reviewed for our website.

Glendora at Hill End has power & water. Sorry, I'm not familiar with Windyer.
Hope this helps.

Windyer
Stayed in a cabin there for a week last xmas with the wife. Found no gold but it was a pleasant place to stay with lots of places to look, pan and detect relatively close by . regards Phil

Re: wwwwwwwwwwwww
Went out to Windeyer recently for a day trip but stopped in at the http://www.bushlandstouristpark.com.au/ to ask about places to pan/detect etc. Even though I wasn't staying there the park owner took time to take me through a mud map of the area highlighting places you can go.
There are plenty of places around you can try out & I managed some gold without spending much time there. If your staying out there for the Go Minelabbing day this weekend drop in & have a chat to the owner - Very nice bloke.
