Victoria
Victoria would arguably rank second only to W.A. in the gold stakes. Victoria has produced some of the largest nuggets in Australia and indeed the world. Historically, Victoria has tended to bring forth the largest nuggets. Gemstones are also another likely find in Victoria for prospectors.

Western Australia

Whilst the mines of Kalgoorlie are known all over the world for their prodigious gold output, large amounts of alluvial gold have been found in the Pilbara area of Western Australia For the hobby prospector there are still gold nuggets to be found within the state.
