What a week at Tibooburra
Hi all, Just got back from Tibooburra and wow what a week we had, I went with Glen (Gully Hunter) Brian ( the smiling assassin) and also our tour guide Morris. Thanks guys for the great company had a ball and so did the mice . We found over 1 oz in total between the 4 of us. I got over 30 bits of Gold, total 4.12 Grams the biggest bit I got was .42 Grams, the biggest bit glen got 3.1 Gram Nug and Brian got a very nice 12.65 Gram Nug, you could wipe the smile of his face. We did a bit of night pinging and I got my first night gold, just love detecting at night even when you got night eyes spooking you in the night (wild goats) Thanks guys once again.
Regards Johnny

Your eyesight might have been great in the dark , but when it comes to posting pictures...that one looks upside down to me.

Re: What a week at Tibooburra
Thanks Guys, It was a great experience, would recommend it to any body. What a great bunch of mates to go out detecting with. we learnt a lot from each other, did a comparison between the 4500 and the 5000 on a undug small gold target, played around with settings and best of all, we all found gold

Re: What a week at Tibooburra
Hi all , and gidday Johnny , it sure was a great week - the weather was perfect .. beautiful days & pleasant nights . As Johnny mentioned we all pinged colour which was fantastic & alot was learned with all the testing & comparisons we did... The smiling assassins 12.65 grammer was the prize piece plucked out & well deserved it was as he perservered with digging out the trash - A great reward for the effort !!
Thanks to mid morning Morris for showing us the ropes & introducing a few of the locals to us - a great time had by all . Morris managed to gather 9 grams for the 8 days detecting .. Brian gathered 16.5 grams & i managed 9.6 grams... We had such a ball up there - Brian has loaded his caravan & is heading " Back To Tibooburra " next thursday for 6 - 8 weeks... May the gold gods smile upon you favourably ; Good luck Bro !!
Cheers gully hunter
My Tibooburra colour - 9.6 grams
