PROSPECTING FOR PLACER GOLD.

Extract

Very fine gold will average 40,000 colours to the ounce, while flour-gold, or colours, readily visible in gold panning, will be so small that it will take over 1,000,000 of them to make an ounce of gold ( 575 colours to the cent).
