Nice one Stoppsy. Judging by the the type of clayish soil in the surrounding area, they'll be larger slugs consealed at depth. I hope you'll be swinging the larger coils over the same ground to prove me wrong.

Cheers kon61.

Hi Stoppsy, Just let her know you are refining your skills with the camera so that you can take better videos of the family.

Better still take her along and ask her to hold the camera all day, I sure after one day you will be back out on your own, and with the camera lol! lol!

Yeah and digging all the holes too! Have you tried digging a deep hole to see how deep the ground is there? I think an 18" coil would be the way to go, then the missus won't care about the camera any more!

Your 4000 with the 8" coil picked up that piece really deep, well done.

Cheers Mick

Do you detect in 'tracking' Stoppsy?? You say that when pinpointing switch to 'fixed' which is correct, why are you not detecting in fixed and ground balance often?

Cheers

hey mate... the only time i flick it to tracking is when the ground is way to noisy then i'll retry in fixed back over the same spot. it depends if i can get the detector running smooth over that spot in fixed if not that's when i run tracking.
cheers
