Life On Earth? Empty Life On Earth?

Post  adrian ss Sun May 14, 2023 8:21 am

There is currently  estimated  up to 1 trillion specie of life  living on the planet, and with 99.999 percent still left for us to find and classify, it seems pretty unlikely that we'll ever be able to catalogue them all.

Do you think that Humans are the ultimate life form?

https://theconversation.com/do-humans-really-need-other-species-185171

Life as we know it could not exist without bacterium. microbes and viruses.; therefore the bacterium came first before the chicken , human or the egg.
So how and when did we figure out how to reproduce ourselves? I mean that would be tricky aye! Like you would have to know about atoms and molecules and stuff at a time when we didn't even know we were anything at all. Suspect

Do you realize that the universe exists bathed in total darkness and that the images that we see are created in our mind as the result of our eyes responding to a particular frequency range of electromagnetic radiation, our eyes are just ultra high frequency electromagnetic receivers. Anything outside this particular frequency range  causes no response from our eyes and as a result appears as black. Black is zero colour as far as our brain is concerned. White is what we see when electromagnetic radiation within our range of perception is combined.. Colour and images are formed totally in our mind..

If you turn your kitchen light on and then go into your lounge room and close the door to your kitchen your kitchen will be in darkness even though you left the light turned on and the room is bathed in EMR confused .......So when God said "Let there be light" what exactly was he saying.

Like I mean electromagnetic radiation is colourless, Like, Like,   Suspect

No Adrian, your kitchen light will still be on illuminating your kitchen, for you know you left it on, even though you closed the kitchen door behind you & can no longer see the kitchen light on, which leads me to conclude, that just because we cant see something as being there, don't necessarily mean its not.  Rolling Eyes
Besides, the human eye is nothing but a lens, of which without the brain, cannot see what it is looking at. For how can one see through ones eyes if ones brain, is not concentrating on what they are seeing?
The how, what, when & where, can always be explained, but the why, is a little more complicated Adrian, for it has neither a beginning nor end.
As for what God meant when he said "let there be light" is so that we don't live in total darkness darkness Adrian, for how then can we humans marvel at all that surrounds us? Besides, to every positive, there has to be a negative, or the opposite, for neither on their own, can exist without  the other.

https://www.nei.nih.gov/learn-about-eye-health/healthy-vision/how-eyes-work

The eye only responds to a particular part of the electromagnetic spectrum, beyond that it sees nothing.
The universe is totally awash with electromagnetic waves of a vast frequency range. Remove our part of the spectrum and we would see only darkness The universe is totally dark  and the images that we see are developed in the brain, the universe it is not a blazing ball of colour. Magnetic waves are colourless

The sun is a colourless ball of electromagnetic radiation., it appears as a ball of fire in our  brain only.

When big G said "Let there be light" did he really mean Let there be electromagnetic energy?/matter and why create all of the rest of the spectrum that we cannot see. There is a hell of a lot of stuff in space that we see as darkness because our eyes do not respond to those dark area  frequencies, and there is way more dark stuff out there than the stuff that our eyes (optical EMR receiving antenna) can respond to..

This pic depicts the known range of the Electromagnetic spectrum.
The little rainbow coloured  bit is that part of the spectrum that our eyes and brain can respond to and create images from, Outside of that range are whole new worlds that we can not see.

Those questions have been asked from the beginning of mans evolution Adrian & will keep being asked till the end of our time.
One can question all they like, but life in this world, is what it is & like all living creatures, does have limits on what we can or cannot do.
Hey Axtyr, you are right.
If we were to continue discussing this never ending journey of why's in life, only a matter of time before I too, will soon be looking for Neo, within the Matrix Shocked Q35

Yep we are just little Bites running around in a chip.
Funny isn't it how after around 2 million years we still do not know which foods are good  for us or how to raise our kids so they don't become unruly morons. Plato had the right answer to that last bit; Beat the living shite out of them when they stuff up badly.  Q24  Q24  Q24  Q24  Q35  Q35
Wild animals got it all figured out 300,000,000 years ago and know not to waste time trying to solve/answer  unanswerable questions that  play no part in their ability to survive.

Want to read some more totally useless information that has zero benefit to our survival?? Laughing

Most people don't realize that Earth has rings. Unlike Saturn's rings, which are vast disks of glittering ice, Earth's rings are invisible to the naked eye. They are made of electricity--a donut-shaped circuit carrying millions of amps around our planet. The ring current skims the orbits of geosynchronous satellites and plays a huge role in determining the severity of geomagnetic storms.

Sometimes during strong geomagnetic storms, protons rain down from the ring system, causing a secondary shower of electrons, which strike the atmosphere and make auroras. Earth-orbiting satellites have actually seen these protons on their way down. Ordinary auroras, on the other hand, are caused by particles from more distant parts of Earth's magnetosphere and have nothing to do with Earth's ring current.

Mystery solved? Not entirely. "We still don't know why proton auroras seem to tear themselves apart in such a dramatic way," says Nishimura. "This is a question for future research."

"It was very exciting to watch," says Ulbricht. "I definitely want to see them again."

Good, because they'll be back. Solar Cycle 25 ramping up to a potentially-strong Solar Maximum next year. Future storms will surely knock more protons loose from the ring current system.

Here's what to look for: (1) Proton auroras tend to appear around sunset. Why? Electric fields in Earth's magnetosphere push the protons toward the dusk not dawn side of our planet. (2) Proton auroras love to pulse--a sign of plasma wave activity in Earth's ring current. (3) Proton auroras are sometimes accompanied by deep red arcs of light (SARs), the glow of heat leaking from the ring current system. These red arcs were also seen on April 23rd.

Now wasn't that exciting, Mad Laughing Q21 Q18
