I reckon that because you blokes can still trot out and pick up a few bits tells me that there is still buckets of gold out there disguised as blackend iron stone and qtz.

Years ago a friend, North of Adelaide in a known Gold field,thru away some black rock that looked like Dog sh-t, on coming back to the vehicle he was told that most likely it was gold, as similar had been found in the area. We went back to have a look, but he could not remembet where he thru it away.

Cheers gents, but my luck finally came to a screeching halt yesterday arvo, just before the rain set in.
I quickly went from the bees knees, to the bees boots.  4 crumbs for a total just over half a gram. Oh well, can't complain, for this localised area were kind to me.
Time to look for new pasture.

Most of us on here know, it's not about finding the time, but making the time to get out there & give it ones best shot, in pursuit of that golden ointment.
The so called many variable associated with the prospecting for gold game, can change with each passing day & no known gold bearing locality can ever be fully cleaned out of gold. There's always something out there left behind, awaiting to be found.
