Tiddlers & more tiddlers
Finally, these bits of colour bellow, are the spoils of 4 separate afternoon stints using the GPZ 7000, on a near by, well thrashed gold locality around Bendigo Vic.
A dozen or so bits of colour, for a little over 7 grams worth of gold. Not including part of a well weathered, silver or pewter table spoon (being non magnetic & all in nature).

Nice going kon, some nice looking chunky bits there.
Bendigo has some good size gold kicking around, fingers crossed you get that deep murmur.
cheers moredeep

Re: Tiddlers & more tiddlers
That deep faint murmur is what we're all after moredeep, but as you know, I pray it's not on a 3 foot deep donkey shoe, for it tends to destroy morale for the rest of the days hunt.
Still, its good to know the odd bit of colour is out there to be found.

7 grams in one day, drool, drool.
Got to be happy with that. Well done.

Re: Tiddlers & more tiddlers
Not in one day, but over 4 separate days of 3 to 4hr stints per day Axtyr. I delayed putting them up till I had gone over this area thoroughly, very well knowing, even though thrashed, no one gets it all.
Cheers Kon

Re: Tiddlers & more tiddlers
To think I had got them all the first time in Bananas I did, for no one gets them all. All metal detectors, not only come with limitations, but windows, doors & all.
Coming back to the same place of initial finds, now armed with a smaller in size coil, 10 meters or so past the last lot of gold finds, more tiddlers, but of slightly smaller in size/weight (less the 3.4 gram clunker, which were wedged between two slate bars in clay, down at about 9 inches

Re: Tiddlers & more tiddlers
Yep, that be the last thing to do moredeep, is to go over the same sections of ground with a larger coil. If only I didn't tremble at the thought of going down 3 feet plus, on some deeply buried tin can, steel peg/chisel, or donkey hoof.

Well done Kon. It's nice to see lots of pieces with the occasional clunker thrown in.

Re: Tiddlers & more tiddlers
Nice bits Kon.
I've lost count of the times i've been over the same place with the same coil and the same machine and found bits that were hiding.
Lots of variables like the moisture in the ground, the frequency the machine is tuned to,the EMI,your ground balance ,and probably the most important one your mental state and focus.
Never mind nobody gets it all , I definitely never get it all.

Re: Tiddlers & more tiddlers
Thanks staples & deutran.
I agree with you on that one staples. Not only variables through our detectors, but in-ground variables that can change with each passing day.
There's always something new to learn. For we're not just chasing gold, but something as old, if not far older, than the dinosaur era.
